What type of chart display screen should I buy?

A good quality LCD panel 17 inch or greater is recommended.

In a normally clinical setup, it is recommended that you use a dual display setup. The first screen will be your normal desktop or laptop screen, and the second screen will display the charts only.

The second display screen must be a flat LCD panel. An LCD panel greater than 17 inch is recommended. Resolution should be 1280 x 1024 or greater. Colour depth must be 32bit or greater for low contrast charts to function correctly.

There are two types of LCD display. Those that accept analogue input, and those that accept digital input. The LCD panel which we recommend accepts both analogue and digital input. Using the digital input is better as it is less subject to noise and interference.

If you are using a PC desktop, you may need to add a dual head video card, to provide your PC with a video output for the second screen.

Some LCD panels will accept digital input, analogue input or both. Digital input is best if cable length is to be greater than 2-3 metres.
