Hardware set up options

MicroPC - single screen

The best set up option is to use a microPC mounted behind a single screen. The i-chart software is the only software running on the microPC making a fast and robust stand-alone digital eye chart.

Portable chart - single screen

A portable laptop chart requires no additional hardware. The chart can be controlled via mouse, keyboard or optional remote control.

Consulting room laptop with additional chart display screen

The i-chart can display on a separate screen while you are using your consulting room laptop.

Consulting room PC with additional chart display screen

If your consulting room PC allows dual screens, i-chart can be configured to display on the second screen, while you continue to work on the main screen.

Minimum hardware requirements

System: Ram should be greater than 512 MB, CPU greater than 1.6 GHz. i-chart will still run on a lesser configuration, but may be slower to respond.

LCD panels need to be 17 inch or larger. Resolution should be set to 1280 x 1024 or greater, and colour depth should be 32bit or greater.

Video card: A dual head video card is required when connecting an additional screen to a PC. These are often already fitted to most laptops and PCs.
